For day 1 of WMCFW or Toronto Fashion Week, I wanted to go for an outfit that stood out while still allowing me to feel like myself. I tend to find that if I step too far out of my comfort zone with an outfit I will constantly be fidgeting with myself, and the uncomfortable feeling that I have will end up showing on my face. So for those reasons, It is important to me to strike a balance between being on trend while still remaining true to myself and how far I am willing to take a look. This outfit for me was the perfect compromise between trendy and right for my style. A tight white pencil skirt with an unexpected flare at the bottom and a cropped turtleneck that showed my stomach just enough so that I didn’t look stuffy. I love the stark contrast between the grey and white, and white on bottom looks beautiful against all of the reds, oranges and brown colours the fall loves to lend.
