Velvet has been a strong trend for a few months now and I’ve made it a point to add a couple of pieces into my closet (like this top and this dress) that I felt I would love long after the trend has passed. Because I felt my closet reached its velvet quota, I hadn’t planned on purchasing any other pieces this winter, but then I accidentally stumbled upon this printed dress while doing an exchange in Halifax. I love the vintage seventies vibe that the print lends and like that I can dress it up with heels or down with the right pieces like these skinny booties. I have very little printed pieces in my closet (I’m talking maybe 3 other things) so It’s nice to know that if I’m feeling a little bolder I can now reach for this unexpected velvet dress.
