Now I know that cherry blossoms are all the rage this time of year, heck, even I woke up at 5:30 in the morning last week to take in their beauty at High Park, but I really think that there is something to be said about the magnolia tree. These massive, pink blooms are an incredible sight, and I could hardly believe my eyes when we came across this huge tree in the front yard of one seriously lucky homeowner the other day. I could have literally sat underneath this tree all day long but I think that whoever lives there would have thought I was a crazy. Though, if it was my house I would totally understand why someone would want to laze under my tree, haha! Anyway, I decided that I didn’t want to look like a weirdo and loiter for too long, so I settled for photos that I think Jamie just completely nailed. I knew that we were taking photos before finding this tree but I feel like I got incredibly lucky with my outfit choice because this “all pink everything” look played so well off of the magnolia tree. This dress is another Emma Knudsen design and if you recognize it, it may be because I wore a similar version last year. Emma brought this updated version to her spring/summer 2017 collection and I couldn’t be happier with it. I find the difference in the fabric and sleeve length make it feel a bit more elevated and dressy while my t-shirt version (that I still love) feels a bit more casual. Both dresses are absolutely gorgeous, super light and playful for the summer so you can be sure that you’ll love whichever version you choose. plus, Emma can customize your size so that your dress will be fitted perfectly to you!
