Coming back from a long weekend always feels so invigorating. I’m so glad I took these last 4 days to just chill out with family back in Halifax and now I’m feeling well rested and ready to get back into work (though things are slowing down a bit as we inch closer to our wedding!!!). This weekend, I made it to the beach twice and we took a little day trip to Lunenburg, where I wore this dress I bought while in Nantucket. I really wanted to shoot this dress while we were in Lunenburg but unfortunately, we got rained out so I ended up wearing the same outfit twice this weekend, haha. I didn’t mind though as, and I know I say this a lot but hear me out, this is the most beloved piece in my closet. The Notebook is one of my favourite movies and when I recently saw that clothing brand KJP teamed up with an illustrator I love, Riley Sheehey, to create a collection of dresses, I was thrilled. I love all the dresses but when I saw The Notebook dress I screamed a bit. The dress features an illustration meant to look like Allie and Noah on the row-boat along with the swans and I’m just so in love with it. I was even happier when I ended up spotting it in Nantucket because originally, I didn’t want to pay to ship this dress to Canada, so finding it in Nantucket solidified that this dress was meant to be for me. This is certainly a piece I’m going to have in my closet for a very, very long time.
