There are few places in Toronto that truly remind me of Halifax. Lucky for me, I now work at one of them in the Distillery District, and the other two are The Beaches, which is only a bike ride away, and the Scarborough Bluffs. Last Tuesday, my boyfriend and I took a drive out to The Bluffs to go for a walk and enjoy the beach. It was a hazy day so there were only a few people around. It made me feel like I had been transported back to Nova Scotia for a couple of hours, besides the salt water of the Atlantic.
