In all honesty, previous to this week, I don’t think that I’d ever stepped foot into a Talbots. Actually, that’s not true, I do recall popping in a few times with my grandmother when I was younger but I know that I wasn’t doing any browsing for myself. I was always under the impression that Talbots was meant solely for the older crowd, which in a way is true, but I can also assure you that they have some incredibly classic, stylish pieces that anyone, including myself, could easily fall in love with. Talbots has recently partnered up with Oprah Magazine to launch an exclusive collection of mix and match pieces that are not only adorable but for a good cause. For each purchase, 30% of the proceeds will be donated to Dress For Success, which is a charity I’ve supported in the past and am pleased to support again. I picked up the sweetest scarf from the collection that I know I’ll wear a million ways this spring (I’m currently loving tying it into a bow around this tote) but I also love that a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Dress For Success. I feel lucky that I am able to wear clothing like this on a regular basis so to be able to give back in some way is really what it’s all about. I’m going to be donating some of my gently worn clothing to Dress For Success in the next few days so even if you can’t support the Talbots campaign, I’d love for you to join me in donating!
