Yesterday I woke up bright and early and headed to a press breakfast put on by the One of a Kind Show. I had never attended a craft show in Toronto and so I was so happy and intrigued to be invited to a specially prepared breakfast by chef David Neinstein of the Barque Smokehouse. Breakfast included cinnamon french toast with brie, apple and candied bacon, mini pancakes with duck and Crème fraîche, blueberry compote and so much more! After I stuffed myself with delicious food, I walked around the venue to take a look at all of the beautiful booths and unique items the One of a Kind Show had to offer. I fell in love with so many of the vendors from food (Verger Champatre fudge, The iBakery cookies, Monkey Butter) to clothing (Dagg & Stacey, Aime Luxury) and everything in between (Senay Studio, Kal Mansur, Hen, Noelle Hamlyn). I honestly would have stayed at the show much longer if it wasn’t for my foot so I highly suggest heading over there this weekend if you are enjoy handcrafted and truly unique items. My look of the morning consisted of wearing as many layers on top as I could possibly think of (blouse, dress, vest, jacket) to compensate for the fact that I was wearing bare legs. The idea worked in my head, but honestly I was freezing. I literally can’t deal with the cold anymore!
