Popping in with a festive look for the holidays that, if you can believe, is from Joe Fresh! I spotted this skirt and sweater while browsing JF recently and I instantly fell in love. You guys know that I’m forever browsing or shopping at Joe Fresh, but this sweater and skirt, in particular, surprised me with the quality and style. I love it paired with flats for a more casual, wintery look but I think both of these pieces are so versatile and can be dressed up or down.
In other news, Edwin was 9 months old yesterday!! I have been reflecting on the whole “9 months in, 9 months out” recently and I came to the conclusion that while my body is definitely not the same as it was, and I do pick on it quite a bit, I should really just be proud of the amazing job it did and is still doing with breastfeeding.
I may have loose skin on my tummy and even stretch marks but I made a human and I am so proud of that! Also, I think my legs look pretty darn great in these photos and I have some new found mama arm muscles that I’m loving!
I’m also SO proud of how far I have come mentally. In the beginning of motherhood, I really struggled. I honestly wasn’t sure that I was going to make it out alive. Thankfully, at around 5 months, things turned a corner and I have been feeling so healthy in my feelings towards motherhood and really just loving this role. I haven’t felt anxious or depressed like I did in those first few months and it just makes me feel so happy that that cloud has finally lifted and I can really be present and enjoy my beautiful boy. As for Edwin at 9 months? He’s doing amazing! He’s such a funny, determined little guy and I simply can’t get enough of him.
