Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope you all had a fantastic, long Canada Day weekend. Jamie and I drove back to Toronto from Halifax on Sunday which maybe wasn’t the best idea because Monday traffic was wild with all the people coming back to the city from their cottages. It ended up taking around 4 hours longer than expected but I’m happy to be back in Toronto. We were planning on spending the rest of our summer in the city but now, with everything that’s going on with my family, we are potentially heading back to Halifax sooner than expected. That means that this week is going to be spent catching up on work and trying to get ahead while also playing the waiting game which gives me some anxiety but I am just trying my best to keep my mind focused and as calm as I can, given the circumstances. Speaking of calm, Jamie and I took a drive out to Lawrencetown with my sisters last week to catch the sunset. Lawrencetown is one of the most beautiful drives and places to visit around Halifax and I always try to get up there at least once every time we are home. It’s such a calming place that, with one look out at the ocean, centers my soul. We shot these photos a bit differently than normal, scattering some black and whites throughout. I really think they captured the way that this spot makes me feel.
