One of the must-do things on our New York bucket list was to have a picnic in Central Park. After figuring out a few logistics, like where to find parking with a massive pick-up truck, where to locate groceries (thankfully there was a Whole Foods 2 minutes away from the park) and where to actually have our picnic (we settled on a grassy patch not too far from the bridge) we were ready to sit down and enjoy a lovely sun-kissed picnic in Central Park. We stuck with a pretty simple selection of foods like hummus, crackers, assorted meats and cheeses, cherries, and cannolis that we’d picked up earlier that day in Little Italy. We also snuck a few fruity beers in which was completely not allowed but we didn’t get caught so oh well! Our little picnic was one of the highlights of my trip and if I ever have the chance to get back to NYC, I’m going to make it a point to always have a little picnic in Central Park.
