I’ve always been a proponent for shopping local and purchasing from makers when and if I can. Thankfully, Etsy has made doing just that so convenient by corralling makers from all over the world and allowing them to share their shops and stories. Just like for our wedding, where we chose many decor pieces from Etsy, I wanted Edwin’s nursery to include lots of special, handmade items that he will grow with. Some of my favourite items he owns such as his “You are my sunshine” wall hanging, and cashmere stuffed bunny, are from Etsy and so I thought it was only fitting to highlight a few of my favourite Etsy shops for babies. While I’ve only just scratched the surface when it comes to all of the incredible baby items available on Etsy, I have rounded up some of mine and Edwin’s favourite Etsy shops below in hopes that you love them too! Mrs. Jini Design: From cozy blankets and baby pillow to the sweetest bunny toys, Mrs. Jini offers some of the sweetest, softest and stylish baby goods out there.
Little Rose & Co. On the topic of wooden toys, Little Rose & Co. makes the most adorable wooden cameras that I simply couldn’t pass up (hello, blogger/photographers over here!). I ordered the white version, but love that the cameras come in so many fun colours. I can’t wait to see Edwin pick up this Camera and start “snapping pictures” just like his mommy and daddy. Little Rose & Co. also has some really cute laster cut wooden signs and other wooden toy selections that I love!
Pali Handmade: Admittedly, I am that mama who loves to see her baby in a bonnet…it’s just too much cute! I really like the Pali Handmade linen bonnets as they’re so classic and I love anything done in a linen. unfortunately, this bonnet was too small for Edwin (he has a big head) so I’d suggest sizing up.
Happy Sunday Studio: Edwin’s “You are my Sunshine” wall hanging was a verrry last minute addition to his nursery and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I ended up purchasing a custom wall hanging so I could have the colours I wanted (I was inspired by the jumpsuit he’s wearing in the first photo above). I love cheeky signs and sayings and think that if you can have one made in colours that suit exactly the style you’re going for…even better!
La Petit Alice: I had this linen romper with carrot embroidery bookmarked for Edwin for Easter while he was still in my belly! I just love that these rompers can be embroidered with many options from carrots to mushrooms and even a little acorn. Aside from rompers, La Petit Alice offers linen shirts, dresses and even some really cute linen options for adults!
Pilosale: I couldn’t resign the “ABC” pillow with the pocket that fits a tiny bear toy and I knew it was going to be a speical addition to Edwin’s room. When he’s a little older, I’m defintiely going to be picking up the tooth fairy pillow for him.
Ewe Made New: Of course, Edwin needed a crochet fox toy in his collection! He has sooo many cute fox stuffies but I just love this particular one with the big head and tiny body. Ewe Made New is a Nova Scotia based Etsy company and I really wanted to include a super local shop to us in this round up.
The Urban Hedgehog: From rattles to mobiles, pillows and toys, the Urban Hedgehog offers fun modern and minimalistic designs for babies that I just adore.
Pompon Design: This is one of my most favourite Etsy shops for babies but unfortunately, she will be closing soon! This cashmere bunny is one of Edwin’s most special stuffies and I also recently ordered 2 popsicle rattles for him as the shop is currently offering 50% off.
Éparpillées: Lastly, Éparpillées is yet another Etsy shop that sells the sweetest stuffed toys that are oh so unique. This little fawn just melts my heart! Be sure to scoop up your favourite stuffed animal from Éparpillées quick though because they go fast!
