Truth be told I’m not a huge fan of grand gestures on Valentine’s Day, I would much rather receive a gift just because and spend Valentine’s Day hanging out with Jamie and Milo (especially since it is also our sweet Milo’s birthday). Because I’m truly not that into gifts, I do like to make it a point to treat myself when I find things (especially jewellery) that speaks to me. Jewellery is such a personal and individual experience for each person who chooses to wear it, so buying it should be just that. This year I decided to treat myself to a couple of dainty, delicate gold pieces from Michael Hill that I will wear on Valentine’s Day and all throughout the year. Because I’m a small, petite girl I find that delicate pieces work well on my body and lend just enough sparkle to make me feel that extra bit of glam. Jamie and I probably aren’t doing too much in the way of Valentine’s Day celebrations this year but I do know that I’ll throw on this pink number, laced up pumps and finish off with these simple gold ear climbers and delicate bar necklace that are a special present to me, from me.
