This spring and summer, I have a lot more planned out events penciled into my calendar than usual. Not only am I getting married, but there are also multiple other weddings that we’ll be attending as well as bridal showers and other festivities. With all of the upcoming events, I have found myself on the hunt for unique dresses that truly make an impact. This lavender dress is one of those dresses that does just that and I am so glad I picked it up recently from Hudson’s Bay Company. It’s a dress that, if I hadn’t seen on the mannequin, I would have passed right over because, in truth, it looks pretty saggy and sad on the hanger. But on the mannequin (and on a human body of course) it is one of the most flattering and unique dresses I own. Besides the colour, that is going to be very popular this season, the asymmetrical shape, ruffled lace trimming and boning in the top all work intricately together to create a work of art in dress format.
