As someone who works from home, a “work dress code” isn’t something I have to think of all that often. While I don’t have to worry about my “office attire” in a traditional sense, I do try to mimic a polished, work ready aesthetic in a lot of my day-to-day musings. Ann Taylor has always been one of my goto’s for modern, versatile work wear that can transition from work to play effortlessly and stylishly. When I found myself recently shopping at Ann Taylor, I was so pleased to see all the different separates that could be mixed and matched to create a plethora of outfit options. Even a lot of the Ann Taylor Dresses looked amazing layered with a blouse underneath and a chic blazer or jacket overtop. While looking for an outfit from Ann Taylor, I wanted a few separates that would seamlessly fit into my closet and be mixed with other pieces I already own, which is why I decided on these plaid/houndstooth cropped pants and olive sweater. I can wear both of these pieces together or separately, but I do love them paired together with bold accessories like these leopard pumps and floral silk scarf. This look feels vintage yet youthful and fresh all at the same time and makes me want to take on whatever the world has to throw at me with confidence. Speaking of stepping out into the work force with confidence, Ann Taylor has created this 30 second video aimed to empower women to work together to break all the ceilings, do what we love and get dressed for the day/life/job we want! I love this quick inspirational reminder and think you will too!
