Red isn’t a colour I typically gravitate towards as I’ve sometimes found it too bold, and there are SO many other colours I’d pick before red. However, I spotted this sweater on the J Crew website recently and though my first thought was grey (which I also picked up) for some reason, I couldn’t stop staring at the tomato red option. I think that it’s because it felt very Parisian and I’m always hoping to achieve effortless French style. I decided that for under $50 with 30% off, I’d go for it and you know what? I ended up loving this sweater so much! Other than the colour and bell sleeve, it’s such a simple ribbed knit that can go with just about anything and I feel like I stand out in it but not too much. And the skirt? I merely picked it up because, for under $40, I always think that it’s nice to have a bold and playful piece in my fall arsenal.
