On Saturday morning we all headed to Just Bloom Flower Farm for their weekend morning u-pick.
I was so excited to get to pick some local blooms that I could later arrange myself at home. I’d been wanting to check out this particular flower farm since last year, but we never got around to it. Thankfully, this year we made it happen and it did not disappoint! The owner Emma and her sweet daughter, Pip were so lovely. Edwin and Eller had so much fun running around the farm and playing in Pip’s sandbox. Edwin even wanted to get in on the flower cutting action (which didn’t surprise me because he’s my little flower hand at home) and he helped me snip a few blooms all by himself to which he said “I did it all by myself!”. The farm, which I learned is also a dairy farm, naturally included cows (and baby cows!!!) so the boys thoroughly enjoyed getting up close and personal and feeding them. I picked a bucket of blooms for $50 which gave me so many stems. I was able to make 1 large, 1 medium, and 1 small arrangement + a couple of bud vases with my picks and I still had some remaining flowers. We had such a wonderful time at Just Bloom, I’m already planning a trip back for the fall!
