This week has been eventful, to say the least. If you follow me on Instagram you would have seen that on Monday I brought home a baby orphaned squirrel who had fallen outside of my work. He was uninjured and the intention was to keep him only for a night until we would take him to the Toronto Wild Life Centre the next day. Unfortunately, they were just unable to take him and told me that my only option was to call animal services and have him put down. To me that was just unacceptable, this little guy is healthy, happy and has every right to live. Jamie and I decided that we would keep him until we could find a home for him. Luckily I found a rehabilitation centre outside of Toronto that is willing to take him. We will be driving out there tomorrow to drop little Theo as we call him off and I truly hope that he will be able to be rehabilitated to go back into the wild.
