Before heading out to drinks with a couple of friends that were in town from Halifax this past weekend, Jamie and I decided to head out on an impromptu date to Grey Gardens. A girlfriend recently told me about the newly opened restaurant, and as soon as she showed me photos I knew that I had to go check it out. Not only was the food absolutely delicious (I had rosé, oysters and the sweet potato ravioli) but the atmosphere and service far surpassed our expectations. Not a detail went unnoticed in this Kensington Market spot, which is ironic because if you weren’t looking, you wouldn’t notice it from the outside, so I couldn’t help but snap a few photos. Along with my outfit post that we shot after I was 2 glasses of rosé in, it was one of those perfect evenings where the sun set late, the air was warm and I felt so happy. I wore this gorgeous Morning Lavender dress on our date which has quickly become one of my favourite pieces in my closet. I realize I say that a lot but this dress has everything I love, it’s floral, flowy and the colours are just so lovely. I’d say it’s spring is dress format but most all the dresses on the Morning Lavender site are.
