When I stumbled upon this dress last October during a trip to Aruba, I fell completely in love with it. However, I ended up breaking up with my love affair and put it back on the rack as I wasn’t sure if it would translate well into my wardrobe. Luckily for me, my boyfriends parents went back to Style & Stuff (the boutique in Aruba) and bought it for me as a Christmas gift, and I am so glad! The dress is just so different from anything that I’ve seen shopping Canada. I wore it for the first time last week to my sisters prom feeling like it was the perfect occasion for it. The mesh overlay makes it more casual while the satin slip underneath gives it a hint of glamour. I styled it with some nude cut out shoes, nude sparkly clutch and simple jewels, but to toughen it up in the fall, I will add motorcycle boots and a leather jacket.
