Happy Monday! I don’t know about you but I can’t believe that it’s December already! For me, Christmas always comes early around here because as a blogger, prepping holiday content in advance is my job. However, truth be told by the time my holiday content is wrapped-up (pun-intended) my to do list that mostly consists of picking up the perfect gift for everyone on my list takes over. By this point you would think that I would have things under control in the holiday shopping department, but besides a few hostess gift ideas that I will be sharing tomorrow, all of the special people on my list have still not been taken care of. Thankfully, First Canadian Place and Exchange Tower recently showed me that holiday shopping, and the gift-wrapping that follows, can get done both fashionably and efficiently with a few perks that are being offered this holiday season. Keep Reading to see exactly what I mean and how First Canadian Place and Exchange tower helped me pull together everything I needed for a stress-free, full service, holiday shopping experience.
Firstly, I wanted to let you know that First Canadian Place and Exchange Tower is now offering Saturday shopping from 11AM-5PM up until December 17th. For me, heading to large malls on the weekends leading up to Christmas is a nightmare because of the amount of people. While still a downtown destination, is much more spacious and calm, allowing me to do my shopping in an open environment where I’m not banging elbows with other hot-headed shoppers. On Saturdays First Canadian Place and Exchange Tower is also offering free parking, free coat and parcel check, free holiday photo booth, along with free gift wrapping which is such a thoughtful touch, especially around the holiday season.
If you are a frequent reader here, you already know that in my opinion, wrapping presents is almost as much fun as picking out the present itself. This year I have been loving creating minimal wrapping with special, unexpected touches. Pistil Flowers, located in First Canadian Place inspired me to create this simple and natural brown paper and twine gift wrap topped with a bundle of winter greens and juniper berries by Pistil Flowers. The beautiful topper was also wrapped with a white ribbon bow and gold twine to give it a little extra oomph. Wrapping your own presents doesn’t have to be difficult to be impactful and I love how Pistil Flowers made it even easier to create something that offers such beautiful impact.

If you are more of the shop for the perfect present and let someone else do the wrapping type of person, then I highly suggest heading over to the free gift station at First Canadian Place & Exchange Tower on Saturdays from now until under December 17th. Any items that are purchased within the building will be wrapped for free and all other items with a minimum $5 donation will be wrapped. Gift wrapping is also available during the week with a minimum donation of $5 per gift, any size. 100% of donations go to SickKids Foundation. Typically, I am nervous when it comes to letting others wrap my perfectly thought out gifts but I saw first hand how much attention to detail these ladies put into their wrapping and their skills are next level. I promise your presents will have never looked better!
Finally, I want to mention that if you are neither the type of person who likes to wrap your own presents, or if you simply don’t have the time to go get your presents wrapped, many of the retailers at First Canadian Place & Exchange Tower have beautiful wrapping options available in store with purchase. My top pick is the Saje store located in First Canadian Place & Exchange Tower. Not only do I absolutely love picking out gifts for everyone on my list from Saje, but their wrapping options are just as beautiful as the products they offer. Think copper gift boxes or grey canvas pouches, woodland inspired tissue paper and sweet gift tags with says like “you’re my person” written on them (see top left corner of this photo for an idea). Besides wrapping I also want to give a special mention to Maman. As one of my absolute favourite cafés in Toronto, and a go to every time I am in the building I really want to support them this holiday season and picked up one of their gorgeous ceramic mugs with their signature print, a specialty tea and one of their crème brûlée chocolate bars as a gift for someone special on my list!
