Some afternoons are just simply better than others, and if you can’t already tell from these mouth-watering photos…this was one of them! A couple of Friday’s ago I was asked to co-host an event at Maman with Bonne Maman Jam and a couple of my blogger gal-pals. I gladly jumped at the chance to hang out at one of my favorite cafe’s in Toronto with some lovely ladies and delicious jam infused desserts!I invited Joelle (who you might recognize from yesterday’s post), Sophie, Rebecca and Aleshia, who are all amazing bloggers and even better friends! There were some new lovely faces in the group as well like Candace, Lin and Chef Christine Tizzard, who gave us so many great cooking tips like incorporating half Bonne Maman Chestnut Spread with pureed pumpkin on a puff pastry. She says all you have to do is roll it up, throw it in the oven with some sliced apples and you have a delicious dessert!
Of course the sweet owner Laure from Maman and Maman’s Pastry Chef Warren Esconjaureguy were there to make sure that everything went off without a hitch…and they did not disappoint! All of the pastries were inspired by the classic flavours of the iconic Bonne Maman jam preserves which are produced in France using traditional, cherished recipes. Bonne Maman uses all natural ingredients with no artificial colorings, additives or preservatives (something I can definitely get behind). From a melt-in-your-mouth Blueberry and Redcurrant Jam Tart to the most cloud-like éclairs (topped with cherry jam and cream) I’ve ever had, and of course Mamans famous madelines infused with Bonne Maman Dulce de Leche. The whole table was so well thought out, delicious, and not a detail was missed.
Thanks so much Bonne Maman for the beautiful (and filling) afternoon! Ps: There’s a great Bonne Maman prize pack to be won below! This jam is a must-try!
