This past weekend, I got a welcome burst of energy and spent all day Saturday on a “day date” with Jamie. Years ago, when we first starting dating, I used to always plan “day dates” for us and I’d get so excited about them. This past Saturday felt just like that except for now we’re married and pregnant which is even better! Our first stop was a local Christmas Market where I picked up this wreathe and my Christmas cards. It had snowed the day before and so the town of Wolfville was covered in snow and bustling with holiday spirit and cheer (sort of like Whoville except it was Wolfville, haha!). I wanted to play the part when it came to my outfit and so I pulled out a Christmas green sweater dress I had been holding onto and this Bernardo houndstooth plaid coat. I just love this oversized, menswear inspired wool coat for both the holidays and winter as the colour and pattern feel so classic. This coat also fits perfectly over my bump and still buttons up easily which is a nice added bonus. I love this coat paired with my turtleneck sweater dress and heeled boots but I’m also obsessed with the menswear inspired look they styled on the model over on the Bernardo website (so casual cool). This is definitely a must have coat for the season and I can’t wait to wear it again and again.
