A couple of weekends ago you might have seen via my Instagram that I was hanging out at a cottage in Muskoka with President’s Choice and some other lovely bloggers. When I was asked if I was interested in participating in a weekend getaway that involved staying at a cottage on Lake Rousseau and enjoying food prepared by Andrea Buckett, who just so happens to be the executive chef for the Weston Group, and an amazing yoga instructor, I literally jumped with joy and said YES immediately. I mean who would say no to free food, yoga and a gorgeous cottage on a lake? I have been a dedicated PC and Loblaws shopper since I was…let’s say 15 when my first job was actually at the “Fresh To Go” (yes I chopped fruit and made veggie trays like nobodies business). Since I have started blogging I have come to rely on PC and PC Home as my go to for quality ingredients and cooking accessories at comparable prices, so I felt like this program was such a perfect fit for me. I am so grateful to have been chosen for this unforgettable weekend and to have met such amazing people like Andrea and the PR ladies who worked SO hard setting the whole weekend up and treated us incredibly, and my new blogger friends (shoutout to Gracie , Olga, and Liza). I wanted to share with you a little peek into the weekend that I experienced and also give you a few tips on how to can have your own #PCSummer at home. Make sure stay tuned for a couple upcoming posts that involve a PC giveaway, you definitely won’t want to miss it!
{PC Belgian Waffles are made even better when they are turned into the ultimate breakfast sandwich.}
{Climbing up and down these stairs was kind of like a dream, and how gorgeous is this chandelier!?}
{One my favourite spots in the cottage was the windowsill where I could relax have some me time}
{The best selection of magazines + PC snacks galore! I am still such a fan of The Decadent Chocolate Chip Cookies!}
{I hoard throw blankets, so cozying up with the Joe Fresh tassel throws that were left for us felt like home.}
{Love the idea of adding colourful fresh flowers as garnish to a fruit plate.}
{Weekend essentials, tote, hat, espadrilles and the Kodak Instatax Mini.}
{Joe Fresh sent over the comfiest boyfriend jeans that are so my style along with so many other goodies. I also received products PC Home (DIY post coming soon!) and Sun Bum from Shopper’s Drug Mart (not pictured).}
{We had an ice cream cake showdown which wouldn’t have been complete without PC treats. The Raspberry syrup was my fave! }
{Cottage views.}
{Afternoon sangria that Gracie and I made. We added a splash of PC Mocktail to add some peach flavour.}
{Who knew PC had SO many condiments to choose from? Anyone who knows me knows I love my sauces!}
{On that note, PC has beer!? Light and refreshing beer at that! We enjoyed a lunch time BBQ with a few helpful tips from Andrea. Did you know that you can use frozen veggies as ice packs in the cooler and then when they become thawed mix in your fave vinaigrette and you have instant salad. Andrea added fresh celery and radish on top and mixed in PC Black Label honey ginger condiment, olive oil and grainy mustard, so good!}
