DEEP BREATH…and exhale. Today I am ready to share my experience with postpartum depression. This is a post that I have wanted to write for quite some time but have consistently found an excuse not to. I’m not ashamed about my experience with postpartum depression, as I know it is very common. However, I do still carry the memories, and my experience can sometimes weigh heavily on me when I think back on it (#trauma). I also have thoughts like “what if it suddenly comes back?” Or “what if it happens again with baby #2” looming at the back of my head. It has been SO long since I’ve shared a DIY project with you! In fact, I can’t remember the last time that I put my DIY pants on and got to crafting (aside from flower arranging). While putting this post together, I actually took a deep dive into my blog archives and was feeling extra nostalgic for DIY’s past. May 21, 2020Hi friends! Ah, I can’t tell you how grateful I am that some of the pandemic restrictions are lifting and that we are allowed to add 1 family into our bubble. As soon as the news hit my sister called me and was freaking out that she and my mom could come and stay over. They packed up their bags and headed to our place the day after the restrictions were lifted and we spent the next few days cooking yummy dinners, playing with Edwin, and we took a day trip to the gardens that had also previously been locked down.
