When I get ready for a big night out I’ve always made it a point to make the whole experience a fun and relaxing one, full of little rituals that I can’t live without. For me, getting all dolled and taking extra time to pamper myself before a big event is better than the actual party itself. So when Schick reached out to see if I was interested in making my getting-ready routine even more indulgent I was all for it. I’m so excited to be sharing with you a peek inside what getting dolled up for a big night out looks like around here, so make sure to keep reading to find out how I like to curate my routine to make getting ready feel extra special.
When getting ready for a night out my routine always begins with a relaxing shower that consists of getting the closest shave possible. Before I pull out my Schick Hyrdo Silk razor I make sure to exfoliate my entire body using a sugar scrub. It’s so important to prep the skin before shaving to slough off any dead skin cells, making a close shave even more achievable. After I’ve exfoliated, I lather up my legs with Skintimate’s lotionized moisturizing shave gel to produce a luxurious lather. I have honestly never used any other shave gel besides Skintimate, and I am so confident in saying that this stuff is the BEST.
After my legs have been lathered up, I grab my Schick Hydro Silk razor with 5 Curve Sensing blades. The 5 blades give such a close shave while the skin guards help reduce irritation and provide incredible closeness in sensitive areas. The razor also has a water-activated moisturizing serum that surrounds the blades to help to hydrate my sin, allowing my legs/underarms to have that smooth and sexy feeling for longer.
This day I opted to use the waterproof TrimStyle bikini trimmer because though I’d used Hydro Silk in the past I’d never used the duel ended TrimStyle so I was excited to try it out. I have to say that using the adjustable trimmer made shaving even my most delicate of areas such an easy experience.
After my shower, I dry off and moisturize my body using something rich like coconut oil so my legs are left with a pretty glow. Once my skin is moisturized, I love putting on a fancy robe for the rest of my getting ready rituals. Typically by this time I’ve also turned on a going out playlist and poured myself a glass of wine to sip on while I do my hair and make-up.
