Up until yesterday, I thought that our wedding was 6 months away, but upon closer count, I realized that it is actually 5 months away! Goodness does time ever fly…it feels like just yesterday that Jamie popped the question and we were deciding on what date we’d be wed. We’ve come a looong way since then, booking our venue, florist, photographer, caterer and my dress is *almost* complete! There are also the smaller details such as hair and makeup, cake, tables, chairs, and I’m sure a million other things I’m forgetting. There are SO many pieces that go into the wedding creating puzzle so today, I wanted to share with you a few of the even smaller details, the things that make my heart skip a beat and that will ultimately make our wedding feel extra special and uniquely ours.
When Etsy reached out offering to send some items to help out with curating our wedding, I was so excited. I’m an avid Etsy shopper and you can bet I already had so many things picked out on the website that I was going to buy regardless of partnering together. Etsy is the place to go if you’re looking to find special handmade items, customized pieces, and truly unique vintage finds and I couldn’t be happier with all the pretty things I am about to share with you.
This is the most detailed glimpse I’ve given into our wedding so far and so I hope you like what you see and that if you’re getting married as well, that you’ll think of using Etsy for your nuptials.

Custom Guest Book: I think that guest books are a quintessential item to have at a wedding, and I’ve always loved the idea of having a guest book that was pretty enough to display. I briefly mulled over the idea of everyone choosing a page in a special book to sign but ultimately, after spotting this custom guest book, I knew that it was a route to go. I love custom details and this book feels delicate and romantic and not in your face with the personalization. I opted for ivory since I knew that after our wedding the book would look pretty on our coffee table or anywhere in our home and it’s small enough that it almost has a journal like quality. I’m looking forward to sitting this little book on a table in the entranceway of our venue with a few small bud vases and maybe a framed photo from our engagement session.
Silk Ribbon: I LOVE the ethereal, delicate look that silk ribbon offers. From using it to decorate our wedding suites to tying them around our bouquets, silk ribbon will definitely be finding its way into our wedding. I chose the Etsy shop Paperie & Silk as I quite simply, I found their marketplace to be so beautifully curated, and they offer so many colour, style and size selections when it comes to ribbon. When the package arrived, I cried literal tears of joy with how pretty it was… I mean look at those wooden spools!
Baskets For Flowers: This is one of the things I am most excited to incorporate into our wedding. I LOVE baskets and I knew from the minute we got engaged that I wanted to have woven baskets filled with flowers at the beginning of our aisle, that can be easily transported to another part of the wedding after the ceremony. These baskets are perfect because they’re foldable which makes transporting them a breeze and they also have a ton of room inside which will make it easy to fill them up with gorgeous blooms.
Customer Bride/Bridesmaid Hangers: Tiny details make such a huge impact when it comes to a wedding, so it comes as no surprise that something as small as a hanger can be beautiful on a wedding day. I had this custom “bride” hanger made to hang my wedding dress on as well as 2 “maid of honor” hangers for my twin sisters to hang their bridesmaid dresses on. I just love how simple yet pretty they are and the gold leaf offers such a special impact.
Bride/Bridesmaid Robes: Etsy didn’t actually supply me with these robes (the designer did) but her shop is through Etsy and so I wanted to include these robes in my round-up. I have always loved the look of the bride and her bridesmaids wearing delicate robes while getting ready and the robes by Canadian designer By Catalfo are soooo lovely! I opted for a white lace robe because I just love the delicate look of lace and my sisters both received blush colored robes that you can view in this post.
Custom Vow Books: Jamie and I have decided to write our own vows which feels both exciting and anxiety-inducing on my part. We had these gorgeous vow books made and honestly, they surpassed my expectations. The torn edge paper, gold calligraphy, and hand tied silk ribbon all work so beautifully together to create the perfect vessel to hold our vows. After our wedding, we’ll cherish these books and the words inside them for years to come.
Vintage Details: From vintage trays to cake servers, Etsy is full of antique vendors just waiting to make your wedding feel extra special. I love the idea of vintage silver trays scattered throughout our wedding, on the bar and used for stying photos so I might even pick up a few more!
Custom Card Box: A card box was actually something that I hadn’t even thought of (wedding brain fog) but I am so glad that I stumbled on this glass option with gold edges. While we do have quite a few personalized items at our wedding, I think that they all feel very delicate and authentic and this card box is the perfect example of that.
Calligraphed Table Numbers: There are so many wonderful vendors on Etsy that offer custom calligraphy for everything from wedding signs to table numbers. I love the look of torn edge paper and romantic calligraphy, so these table numbers felt perfect for our wedding tables.
Brass Table Number Holders: Of course, we needed something to place our table numbers in and while I debated between something a little lower at first, I ultimately decided that it would be easier to read each table number if they were higher on the table. I love these weighted brass table number holders as they look sleek and don’t distract from the rest of the table design.
Dusty Rose Table Runners: Dusty rose is one of my favoruite colours and when I found these cheesecloth table runners on Etsy, I knew that they’d match perfectly with our wooden harvest tables and floral blue plates.
Custom Name Cards: These hand torn paper name cards are another item that brought a tear of joy to my eye. I can’t wait to create a seating chart using these beyond stunning calligraphed cards. I also love that each guest will be able to take theirs home if they’d like at the end of the evening.
Paper Cones For a Flower Toss: Finally, I’ve always loved the idea of flowers being thrown after we say “I do” and walk down the aisle as a married couple. I found these pretty paper cones that feel so romantic and am looking forward to filling them up with petals for each guest to toss.
